Helping people in Ontario get the education they need to build a rewarding career.
Part of the Government of Ontario, the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security develops public policy for Ontario’s universities and colleges, authorizes universities to grant degrees, registers career colleges and provides financial assistance to postsecondary school students.
Work Overview
As part of the digital and creative services team, my work included:
- Social media planning and production: Planned the monthly calendar, created graphics for posts, coordinated French translation of posts, developed copy for posts.
- Event coordination: Worked with vendors, updated print materials including the program and award certificates, procured photography services and printing services.
As part of the community insights team, my work included:
- Media monitoring: Monitored news and social media to identify contentious issues related to the ministry.
- Memo production: Developed an automation with Microsoft Power Automate to reduce the memo production time by 50%.
Produced a social media video of an event by capturing footage on my phone, developing the storyboard and shot list, recording voiceover, and editing it in Adobe Premiere Pro.

I pitched and developed a carousel post featuring career advice from co-op students in this ministry. It achieved 2,000 impressions, nearly 10 times the monthly median.
